The
Nunnery

Four one-of-a-kind residences in one of Denver's most storied buildings.

Denver's most storied
converted church.

Originally constructed in 1955 as a Catholic nunnery, this remarkable red brick building has lived many lives across seven decades.

In 1974, it became Denver's first Scientology church — a piece of local history still marked by the original bronze plaque on the building's facade.

In the late 1990s, the building was thoughtfully redeveloped and converted into four distinctive condominium residences, each one unique, each one carrying the character of everything that came before.

Nestled in Athmar Park — minutes from the Santa Fe Arts District and steps from the South Platte River Trail — The Nunnery is the kind of place that's nearly impossible to find anywhere else in Denver.

Minutes from the
Santa Fe Arts District.

The Nunnery is located in Athmar Park, where industrial edges meet vibrant cultural diversity and creative energy. Just minutes from downtown, it offers a rare balance: local character and breathing room, with seamless access to the I-70 corridor and mountains beyond.

The Santa Fe Arts District is moments away—galleries, studios, First Friday walks—placing you at the center of Denver's creative scene without the premium price tag. Closer to home, the neighborhood itself reflects a dynamic mix of cultures, small businesses, and long-standing community roots.

Outdoor recreation is steps away. The South Platte River Trail is two blocks out—bike downtown in minutes or head south for longer rides. Huston Lake Park is less than a mile away, with Aspgren Park just six blocks out, offering green space woven into daily life.

The neighborhood hosts meaningful organizations like Habitat for Humanity's regional headquarters and Women's Bean Project, both within walking distance.

The food scene—from Star Kitchen's dim sum to Pho 555 to Chain Reaction Brewing—reflects the neighborhood's diversity and authenticity.

Light rail, quick routes via 6th Avenue, and proximity to Empower Field and the upcoming Denver NWSL Stadium keep you connected—but the neighborhood still prioritizes being a place to live, not just pass through.

Quiet enough to feel like home, yet layered with texture, history, and an evolving cultural identity — Athmar Park is where Denver still feels real.
